Lunar New Year's Day Event 2019

On February 1st, 2019 just before the New Year's Day holiday, SJA Jeju's Elementary School Korean Studies, KFL (Korean as a Foreign Language) and Chinese classes held a Lunar New Year's Day event. During the event, students had an opportunity to share their New Year's wishes and to play Korean and Chinese traditional games with their friends.

Their wishes were written and decorated on a small card in the shape of a kite in class and displayed with traditional game materials in front of the cafeteria. In addition, all students spent an entire period playing traditional games with students in their grade level in the Mini PAC.

José Chávez (5W) said, "Among traditional games, I enjoyed playing the Gonggi-nori the most. I would like to have a competition with William next time. "Sara Kang (5M) said, "These games should not be played in words. Go outside and experience it while bumping into friends like today's event."

Nam Hee Cho, ES Korean studies teacher at SJA Jeju, said, "It was a meaningful day. Students enjoyed various activities and were constantly busy. They participated passionately in fun activities."
