St Johnsbury Academy Jeju is a seven-day a week boarding school. While we have an open campus policy that allows students to go home on most weekends, many of our students choose to remain on campus. We try to ensure that these students have various opportunities to engage in rewarding activities.
Every weekend, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events and activities both on and off campus. Most of our off campus activities and trips are generated by teachers, proctors and students and range from outdoor wilderness excursions, to concerts, to professional sports events and theater productions, to shopping in nearby towns and cities. Weekend activities are chaperoned by teachers, proctors.
While activities are generally optional for High School students, the program is mandatory for Middle School students who stay on campus for the weekend. Proctors lead small classes or activities each Saturday and Sunday morning and the afternoons are full of longer off-campus or on-campus activities. Activities include cooking, learning new sports, hiking, visiting museums, tangerine picking, trips to a movie theater, bowling, escape rooms, and more.
