AP Scores and NEASC Accreditation

This summer St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju reached two significant milestones: We received our first AP test results and we officially became a “Candidate for Accreditation” by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

AP Scores

We were extremely pleased with our AP results averaging 4.7 (out of 5) on the tests. In Calculus, we averaged a perfect 5! Congratulations to our High School students and faculty for their hard work and dedication in achieving these outstanding results. In each test we took, students eclipsed the Korean and Worldwide averages by wide margins. (In-depth analysis will be provided in our upcoming SJA Jeju High School Profile, 2019 – 2020.)

NEASC Accreditation

We’re now an official “Candidate for Accreditation” by the New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC). This is the same organization that accredits Harvard and MIT. This year we’ll begin our “Internal Reflection” with our eyes on the goal of having our full accreditation by the end of 2020. This self-reflection will enable SJA Jeju to delve deeply into learning impacts with the goal of improving the way we teach and how students learn. By utilizing an iterative process of analysis, application, review, and modification we will continuously look to enhance and build our programs of study throughout the school.
